Pressure Cleaning Travertine Pavers

In some cases, routine cleaning may not be sufficient, particularly if your Travertine Pavers are installed in areas with heavy leaf drop, standing water, or other challenging environmental conditions. When a deeper clean is needed, some homeowners and professionals choose to use a pressure washer as part of their maintenance routine.

If you choose to pressure wash travertine, it is important to use low to moderate pressure and a wide-angle spray tip. Excessive pressure or holding the nozzle too close to the surface can damage the stone or strip away the sealant. Proceed carefully, and always test a small area first to ensure the desired result.

After pressure washing, it may be necessary to reapply a sealer if the original protective layer has been worn away.
